Plaud Hardware Integration
Aila connects directly with Plaud hardware recorders (Plaud Note, Plaud NotePin) via Bluetooth. Recordings sync automatically into Aila without requiring a Plaud app or subscription.
Bluetooth Pairing Procedure
- Open the Aila iOS app and navigate to the Capture tab.
- Tap Pair Device.
- Press the physical button on top of your Plaud recorder. The LED flashes white to indicate pairing mode.
- Select your Plaud device from the discovered list.
- The device card appears on the Capture tab displaying serial number, battery percentage, and available storage.
Syncing Recordings
- Automatic Sync: If your Plaud is connected when you end a recording, Aila transfers and uploads the audio file automatically.
- Manual Sync: Tap the purple Sync button on the Capture tab to pull all pending audio files from the device.
- Selective Sync: Tap Files to view recorded clips on the hardware and transfer selected files individually.
Storage and Deletion Safety
- Automatic Cleanup: Aila deletes the recording from hardware storage only after the cloud server confirms successful file receipt.
- Manual Hardware Deletion: Touch and hold any unsynced file row in the device list and tap Delete from device.
Switching from the Plaud App
A Plaud device can connect to only one application at a time. If you previously paired your recorder with the official Plaud app, release it before pairing with Aila:
- Open the Plaud App while the device is connected.
- Tap the device settings icon and scroll to the bottom.
- Tap Disconnect or Remove Device.
- Select Erase & Remove and confirm.
- The Plaud LED flashes white.
- Force-close the Plaud app and open Aila > Capture > Pair Device.
Troubleshooting
- Device Not Detected: Charge the Plaud, press the top button to wake Bluetooth, and ensure no other mobile phone is currently connected.
- Transfer Interrupted: Keep the Plaud within 3 feet of your iPhone during high-speed Bluetooth file sync.
