Aila for iPhone

The Aila iOS app is the capture and review companion to the Aila web platform. It gets client call recordings into Aila from your phone — through iPhone's built-in call recording or a Plaud hardware recorder — and lets you review the results anywhere: transcripts, summaries, extracted data, audio playback, contact linking, and MISMO export.

The heavy lifting (transcription, AI analysis, CRM sync) happens on the Aila platform, the same as calls captured on the web. A call captured on your phone shows up everywhere.

Requirements

  • iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later. The app also runs on iPad.
  • An Aila account. Sign up at withaila.com (opens in a new tab) — accounts are created on the web, then you sign in on the phone.
  • For iPhone call recording: iOS 18 or later (Apple's built-in call recording feature; availability varies by region and language — see Apple's guide (opens in a new tab)).
  • For hardware capture: a Plaud Note or NotePin recorder (optional).

The four tabs

TabWhat it does

Built-in guides

The Capture tab leads with a collapsible How to use Aila section containing screenshot walkthroughs of every flow:

  • How to capture a call — the full iPhone call-recording path
  • How to pin Aila on your iPhone — put Aila at the front of the share sheet
  • How to connect Plaud hardware — pairing, step by step
  • Switching from the Plaud app — releasing a Plaud that was set up with the Plaud app first
  • A link out to Apple's call recording guide

Two ways to capture

  1. iPhone call recording — record a call natively on iOS 18+, then share the recording from Notes to Aila. See Capturing Calls on iPhone.
  2. Plaud hardware — pair a Plaud recorder over Bluetooth; recordings sync into Aila automatically, including hands-free auto-sync the moment a recording ends. See Plaud Hardware.

You can also share any audio file to Aila from the share sheet (Files, Voice Memos, email attachments — anything that shares audio), or use Add / import call recording on the Capture tab.
