Microsoft Teams Integration
Automatically record and analyze your Microsoft Teams meetings.
Overview
Aila integrates with Microsoft Teams via calendar auto-recording or the Aila Chrome extension. Once connected, Teams meetings are captured, transcribed, and analyzed automatically.
How It Works
Option 1 — Calendar Auto-Recording (Recommended) Connect your Microsoft Outlook calendar and Aila joins every Teams meeting automatically. See Personal Settings to set this up.
Option 2 — Chrome Extension Install the Aila Chrome extension and use it to record Teams web meetings manually.
Setup — Calendar Auto-Recording
- Navigate to Settings > Personal Settings
- Click Connect Calendar
- Sign in with your Microsoft account
- Authorize Aila to access your Outlook calendar
- Configure auto-record preferences
Aila's bot joins your Teams meetings a few minutes before start, appearing as Aila Notetaker in the participant list.
Setup — Chrome Extension
- Navigate to Settings > Connections
- Find Microsoft Teams and click Install Extension
- Install the Aila Chrome extension (opens in a new tab)
- Open a Teams meeting in the browser
- Click the Aila icon to begin recording
What Gets Captured
- Full meeting audio
- Meeting participants
- Meeting date, duration, and title
Requirements
- Teams meetings must allow external guests (for the bot)
- Your Teams admin may need to enable third-party app access
Troubleshooting
Bot was denied entry to the meeting
- Check your Teams admin policy for external meeting participants
- The meeting organizer may need to admit the bot from the lobby
Calendar not syncing
- Ensure you authorized Aila with your Microsoft account, not a personal account
- Check that calendar permissions were granted during OAuth
Next Steps

- Google Meet — Record Google Meet calls
