Google Meet Integration

Automatically record and analyze your Google Meet video calls.

Overview

Aila integrates with Google Meet via a Chrome extension that joins your meetings, records them, and sends the audio for processing. No manual uploads or complicated setup required.

How It Works

There are two ways to capture Google Meet calls:

Option 1 — Calendar Auto-Recording (Recommended) Connect your Google Calendar and Aila automatically joins every meeting on your calendar. See Personal Settings to set this up.

Option 2 — Chrome Extension Install the Aila Chrome extension. When you're on a Google Meet call, click the Aila button to start recording.

Setup — Calendar Auto-Recording

  1. Navigate to Settings > Personal Settings
  2. Click Connect Calendar under Calendar Connections
  3. Sign in with your Google account
  4. Authorize Aila to read your calendar
  5. Choose auto-record preferences (all meetings, external only, etc.)

Aila's bot will join future meetings automatically, a few minutes before start time. It appears in the meeting as Aila Notetaker.

Setup — Chrome Extension

  1. Navigate to Settings > Connections
  2. Find Google Meet and click Install Extension
  3. Install the Aila Chrome extension (opens in a new tab)
  4. Join a Google Meet call
  5. Click the Aila extension icon to start recording

What Gets Captured

  • Full meeting audio
  • Meeting participants
  • Meeting date and duration
  • Meeting title (from calendar event, if available)

Troubleshooting

Bot didn't join my meeting

  • Verify your calendar connection is active in Personal Settings
  • Ensure the meeting is on your connected Google Calendar
  • Check that the meeting wasn't marked as private/confidential

Extension not recording

  • Make sure the Chrome extension is installed and enabled
  • Check that you've granted microphone permissions
  • Refresh the Meet tab and try again
