Hey Pocket
Aila connects directly to Pocket (Hey Pocket), a pocket-sized call and meeting recorder. Use it on iPhone or Android. Recordings feed the Intake Agent and the Call Compliance Agent.
What you need
- A Pocket device, paired with the Pocket app on your phone (iOS or Android).
- A Pocket account where you can create an API key and a webhook.
- No Aila app is needed. Aila connects to your Pocket account on the backend.
Pocket is a personal connection. Each person connects their own Pocket account, and Aila files that person's recordings under their name.
How it works
- You record a call on the Pocket device.
- The recording moves from the device to the Pocket app on your phone.
- Pocket sends Aila a webhook for the new recording.
- Aila downloads the audio with your API key and processes the call.

Answers:
- Where do I paste the Pocket webhook?
- Do I need the webhook secret from Pocket?
- How do I add a webhook in Pocket?
- In Aila, go to My settings > Connections and find Phone recording. Admins can also use Settings > Connections > Integrations > Connect and search for Hey Pocket.
- In the Pocket app or at app.heypocket.com (opens in a new tab), open Settings, then Developers.
- Click API Keys, then + Create Key, name it
Aila, and copy the key. - In Aila, copy the Webhook URL. Aila shows it before you connect.
- In Pocket, click Webhooks, then + Create Webhook, and paste the URL. Subscribe to
recording.createdandtranscription.completed. Aila doesn't need the webhook secret. - Paste the API key into Aila and click Connect.
- In Pocket, click Test on the new webhook to confirm it works.
As soon as a recording uploads into Pocket, it's sent to Aila and processed.
Replacing a lost device
Pair the new device with the same Pocket account. The connection is on the account, so recordings keep flowing to Aila. See the Record calls FAQ.
