Zoom Integration
Automatically record and analyze your Zoom video calls.
Overview
Aila integrates with Zoom via a Chrome extension that joins your meetings and records them for analysis. Combined with calendar auto-recording, Aila can join every Zoom call on your schedule automatically.
How It Works
Option 1 — Calendar Auto-Recording (Recommended) Connect your calendar and Aila automatically joins every Zoom meeting. See Personal Settings to configure this.
Option 2 — Chrome Extension Install the Aila Chrome extension. On a Zoom web call, use the extension to start recording manually.
Setup — Calendar Auto-Recording
- Navigate to Settings > Personal Settings
- Click Connect Calendar under Calendar Connections
- Authorize with Google or Microsoft
- Set auto-record preferences
Aila's bot joins your Zoom calls a few minutes before start, appearing as Aila Notetaker in the participant list.
Setup — Chrome Extension
- Navigate to Settings > Connections
- Find Zoom and click Install Extension
- Install the Aila Chrome extension (opens in a new tab)
- Join a Zoom meeting in the browser
- Click the Aila icon to begin recording
What Gets Captured
- Full meeting audio
- Meeting participants
- Meeting date, duration, and title
Requirements
- Zoom meetings must allow external participants (for the bot to join)
- For the Chrome extension, use Zoom Web Client (not the desktop app)
Troubleshooting
Bot was removed from the meeting
- Some Zoom accounts require host approval for external bots
- Ask your Zoom admin to allow bots in meeting settings
Meeting not detected
- Ensure the Zoom link is on your connected calendar event
- Calendar events with Zoom links are detected automatically
Next Steps
