Android
There is no Aila Android app. Android users have two options.
| Option | Best for | Uploads to Aila |
|---|---|---|
| Pocket (recommended) | Loan officers who want every call captured automatically | Automatic |
| Native Android call recording | Occasional calls, or trying Aila before buying hardware | Manual upload |
Option 1: Pocket (recommended)
A Pocket recorder captures your calls, and the Pocket app on your phone receives each recording. Aila connects to your Pocket account, so recordings flow into Aila automatically.
- Get a Pocket recorder (opens in a new tab).
- Install the Pocket app from the Google Play Store (opens in a new tab) and pair your device.
- Connect Pocket to Aila. See Pocket.
Each recording that moves from the device into the Pocket app is sent to Aila and processed.
Option 2: Native Android call recording
Many Android phones can record calls in the Phone app. Availability depends on your phone, your carrier, and your country. Both parties hear a notice that the call is being recorded.
Turn on call recording
Follow Google's guide: Record a phone call (opens in a new tab). In short:
- Open the Phone app (Phone by Google).
- Tap More > Settings > Call recording.
- Choose to always record certain calls, or tap Record during a call.
Get the recording into Aila
Native recordings stay on the phone, so upload each one:
- In the Phone app, open Recents and tap the recorded call.
- Tap the recording, then Share to save the audio file to your phone or email it to yourself.
- In Aila on the web, open Calls and click Upload.
- Optionally enter the Client name, then select the audio file. Processing starts after the upload.
After upload, the call is processed like any other: the Intake Agent builds the file and updates the CRM, and the Call Compliance Agent scores it.
