# Google Meet

Aila's meeting bot joins your Google Meet calls from your calendar and records them. Each recording goes to the [Intake Agent](https://docs.aila.fyi/agents/intake), which builds the file and updates your CRM, and to the [Call Compliance Agent](https://docs.aila.fyi/agents/compliance), which scores the call.

## What you need

- A Google Calendar (Google Workspace) calendar that holds your Meet meetings.
- Meeting links on the calendar events you want recorded.

## Connect

1. In Aila, go to **Settings > Connections > Integrations**, click **Connect**, and select **My Calendar**. You can also go to **My settings > Connections** and use the **Calendar** row.
2. In **Connect your calendar**, choose the **Calendar platform**: **Google Calendar** or **Microsoft Outlook**.
3. Click **Continue** and approve access to your calendar.
4. Schedule meetings with Google Meet links. The bot joins automatically at the start of the meeting.

One calendar connection covers Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams links. Aila's meeting bot, named **Aila Notetaker**, joins your scheduled meetings automatically.

Aila only reads your calendar. It does not edit your events. The notetaker is not added to your calendar invite, so in Google Meet it can wait until someone in the meeting admits it.

## Settings

Open the calendar's row and choose **Recording preferences** to control which meetings the bot joins.

| Setting | What it does |
| :--- | :--- |
| **Auto-record enabled** | Turns auto-recording on or off for this calendar. |
| **Record when not host** | Record meetings where you aren't the host. |
| **Record recurring meetings** | Include recurring meetings. |
| **Record external meetings** | Record meetings with attendees outside your organization. |
| **Record internal meetings** | Record meetings with only internal attendees. |
| **Confirmed only** | Record only confirmed events, not tentative ones. |
